Someone on the blog commented that it seemed like a dance film? How is it like a dance film? What does the "other side of summer" mean here? Is it like the negative side? What were some of the things you were intending to convey/explore?
I think the dance film comment was for a separate post. I was trying my hand at the quick/MTV style editing. Normally, I opt for longer action shots and cross fades. This project was simply trying to experiment with different editing techniques. Trying to expand my personal style and aesthetic. The music (lyrically, at least) does convey a delightful sense of irony. Vacation is simply escapism. Our issues await us just around the corner or on the other side of summer. cheers.
